Afloat

Apart’s visual identity and website both draw their inspiration from a passionate ping–pong match — serving as a metaphor for a seamless interaction of the consultancy’s core services: conception, communication, production.

This playful approach also manifests itself within a flexible colour palette. The single–page website is currently in its second incarnation — including additional projects — to keep Apart’s online presence fresh and relevant.

We believe in the power of visual design. That is why we aspire to create engaging concepts for a discerning clientele.

Alongside an ongoing dialogue with our commissioners we start to rigorously observe, research, experiment and subsequently develop an emotional response to the brief. At all times, we strive to cut through noise and create value through design. Our approach has been kindly described as ‘quietly confident and bright with a touch of playfulness’.

The studio is led by Lukas Muellner, who previously enjoyed a ten year’s run at renowned design consultancies in London, Copenhagen and Vienna. He has been teaching at the programme Fashion & Technology, University of Art and Design Linz since 2017.
